Home Energy Score

As of 2018, the City of Portland requires any home within city limits to obtain an official Home Energy Score from a licensed Home Energy Assessor prior to listing. Developed by the National Department of Energy, the report estimates home energy use and associated costs. During a one hour non-invasive assessment, we will analyze the home’s heating & cooling equipment, ductwork, water heater, insulation, windows, & exterior surfaces. The collected data is then compiled to calculate a 1–10 score (10 being the most energy-efficient). We will also recommend improvements that can both raise your score and increase your home's energy efficiency. Once the assessment is complete, a link to your Home Energy Score Report will often be provided within 24 hours. Scores are reported to the Portland Green Building Registry database and are available as public documents of record.

We are your homegrown contractors and assessors who know Portland homes inside and out. Contact us to get your Home Energy Score.
